failures.

I should be in the middle of week 8 but I’m still stuck on week 4 of the C25K.

A Lot has gone on in the past few weeks, my Mum visited from Australia for two weeks, i actually worked out during that time got in a good few workouts and runs and then decided i was going to try really hard to get into shape.

I am now feeling like death slightly warmed up and in no mood or shape to workout (being all drugged up on cold and flu medicine, with a banging headache and lethargy(ness) creeping in on me).  when i get back on the saddle the main thing i want to do is ensure that i incorporate (at least) one workout a day, whether that is a swim, a workout on the elliptical or a workout in the gym.  i want to sort my sleeping out so I’m not in bed for 4am and up at 12pm so Ive lost most of the day in slumber-land.  I want to be more healthy so i can be more confident and open with people.  But most of all i want to look at myself and be happier, if I’m working out and healthier I’m going to be happier.  Baby steps, the first one being getting my spluttering self well and working again!

Starting week four of the C25K tomorrow, its been going OK, hit a few bumps in the road after being called into work and having to miss a couple of runs but Ive just moved the timetable around and fit them in on different days.

So…..Heyyyy.

Its been a while (god i say that alot :S)Over two months since the last post and to be perfectly honest not alot has happened, ive maintained my weight at 18st 10lbs not unhappy and not really happy with that.  My One year tumblr-versary has been and gone and i missed that, ive started & stopped & started the C25K again, start week 3 on wednesday (im not gonna be making a big thing about this until its doneand dusted and ive done a few weeks at running for over 30-minutes).

I have new motivation for my weight loss journey now (when i started it was you guys and bendoeslife(in case you hadnt guessed by my name), you still are dont get me wrong :-) but now my motivation is a little different), ive booked a holiday in Ibiza for my birthday in September with a few friends, gonna be crazy-mental (a bad mixture of both crazy and mental, trust me) so i now have to get my self fit and ready for the baking hot sun and awesome partying for a week.  Ive got around 6 months to get ready so this is the start of new motivation time, no more just talking about getting fit its about time i did it, ive had 23 years of floating along in life lets make the 24th a brilliant one with an amazing starting point!!

This week has been challenging i got a good workout in on Monday and after work on Tuesday i went for a swim and pretty much after that i had to force myself to work out! 

On Wednesday i felt so ill it was unbelievable, my throat was sore, my head was pounding and my neck hurt when i turned it, even with this i soldiered on and went to the gym, did a poxy 50 minute workout just doing the C25K Day 2 and a small warmup on the bike.

Yesterday i did no exercise, i was in work in the evening so decided to just have a rest day and drug my self up with cold and flu tablets.

The rest day helped a little, i don’t feel as bad as i have this week and managed to get a decent workout done in the gym.  Now I’m off to work again tonight to earn some more pennies and save up for a new computer, my laptop is still dead and so is in need of a replacement sharpish!

C25K Week 1 Done (again).

The last time i weighed in was a whole month ago! I suppose its time to get back in the saddle (again).

The numbers for last time were as follows:

Weight: 18st 8lbs 8ounces
Body Fat%: 32.5%
Body water%: 45.5%
Muscle Mass%: 34
BMI: 33.5
BMR: 2487

This weeks numbers (as of Monday the 16th) are:

Weight: 18st 6lbs
Body Fat%: 32 
Body water%: 45.8
Muscle Mass%: 34.2 
BMI: 33.2 
BMR: 2470

Another loss then, again not great but not a gain.

Bleurgh!

I’m a bit ill at the moment but I’ve been working out and I have a weigh in from monday due in. Ill hopefully have those up in a few hours.

Went to the gym today, it was ALOT more difficult than last week, I was going to spend 20 minutes on the elliptical machine, but after 8 minutes I was exhausted so I cut it down to 10 minutes (the order below is off, move the elliptical after the row and that’s the way it went).

Bike for 15-mins = 8.30km
Run for 33-mins = 3.93km
Elliptical for 10-mins = 1.7km
Row for 10-mins = 2157m
Bike for 30-mins = 14.49 km

I’m gonna be (hopefully, work shifts pending) re-starting the C25K program on Monday I’m gonna try and do the runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the week and do little workouts sans treadmill at the weekends.

I’m feeling good and positive about this challenge again, I’m still focused on losing weight above all else and that is my main goal. :-)

No arrests were made at the weekend away. SCORE!

Ive not worked out since last Thursday, recovery was needed from the weekend!

I’m gonna try and go to the gym tomorrow morning after an early night.

My next weigh in will be on Monday and i will try the weigh a day “format” for a couple of weeks after that to see if it helps to keep me on track.

p.s. I’m yet to see any pictures from the weekend if there are any “decent” ones i will upload them, otherwise they will float into obscurity, where they belong!

Nothing planned for today other than work until 7 and then rest for the weekend.

Going up north to Newcastle for a night out tomorrow for a friends birthday, going with quite a few people I’ve never been out with before but I have seen what they are like from the sober side of the bar so I’m expecting a very messy night out (if I’ve not been arrested by sunday morning its been a successful night on my end!).

Gonna try and fit in a workout early on saturday to get myself back on course for a normal routine (monday, wednesday and friday workouts are what’s best for me, so If I do tomorrow and then monday I can have a couple of rest days next weekend).
